Magnus Örnberg, Saab's chief financial officer for the past seven years, plans to leave the Swedish defence company to pursue "new challenges", the company announced on 16 March.
Örnberg and Micael Johansson, Saab's president and CEO, "agree that the time is right for change", Saab said.
A search for a replacement has begun.
Saab credited Örnberg with playing "an important role in Saab's growth journey and development". In 2019, the company's sales rose 7% to SEK35.4 billion (USD3.6 billion), and its adjusted operating income went up 15% to SEK2.9 billion.
