Kongsberg Defence Australia has selected Redarc Defence Systems to supply electro-mechanical components in support of Kongsberg’s programme with Raytheon to provide the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) capability for the Australian Army.
Kongsberg Defence Australia said on 13 March that Redarc, which is based in South Australia, will make and supply power outlet panels, battery boxes, and power distribution units under an initial phase of a subcontracting deal. A second tranche of deliveries covering unspecified products will follow, it said.
In the NASAMS programme, Redarc joins other subcontractors including Daronmont Technologies and Eylex. Additional Australian suppliers will be announced shortly, said Kongsberg.
