Spain has finally released defence export sales figures for the first half of 2019, which reached EUR2.41 billion (USD2.68 billion), as well as those for the whole of 2018, which totaled EUR3.72 billion.
The figures showed a recovery of 41.5% in the first six months of 2019 compared with the same period of the previous year, after a 14.4% year-on-year drop in 2018.
The figures from the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism are normally released to parliament every six months but had been held up by the definitive formation of a new government and were only presented to Congress on 28 February.
