The IDF announced the implementation of the plan on 13 February, saying it has been approved by Defense Minister Naftali Bennett and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The IDF announcement said the five-year plan aims to enhance capabilities against Iran, boost the combat capabilities of operational units, especially in urban warfare, improve intelligence, and retain the most qualified personnel as career soldiers.
