Abaco Systems, which is based in Huntsville, Alabama, has moved into a newly constructed headquarters building that will give it more room to accommodate its growth.
The new facility will also enable Abaco to expand its manufacturing capacity at its previous headquarters, which is about 20 minutes away, the company said.
Abaco is splitting the new 75,000 sq ft building with the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI), a university research arm. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 18 March.
Abaco, which makes rugged computers for defence systems, has 750 employees worldwide, including about 300 in Huntsville. Its customers include Boeing, GTRI, L3Harris Technologies, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon.
