Singapore Airshow 2020: Boeing sees increasing demand in Asia for AH-64E Apache

13 February 2020

Boeing sees an opportunity for its AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopter in the Asia-Pacific market, with a senior company representative telling Jane's that follow-on and new orders are likely.

Speaking at the Singapore Air Show running from 11-16 February, Boeing's senior manager for global sales and marketing for attack and cargo helicopter programmes, Terry Jamison, noted particular prospects for the latest-variant of the Apache in the region.

Singapore itself, already an operator of the AH-64D-model Apache, has expressed an interest in remanufacturing 12 of its 20 helicopters to the AH-64E-standard. The remaining eight aircraft are based in the US, and for now will likely be used for training purposes.
