The twin-engined helicopters for the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) will be used for ab-initio and other pilot training requirements. Airbus did not disclose a contract value, but did say that the new helicopters will be delivered from 2021.

As noted by the manufacturer, the RTAF's helicopters will, in addition to the new Helionix avionics suite, be configured with two external cameras, providing pilots with a 360-degree view of the external environment. They will also be equipped with tactical systems and the Euronav7 moving map, air-conditioning systems, tinted windows, and height-adjustable pilot seats.
