UK defence technology company QinetiQ Group has acquired Newman & Spurr Consultancy (NSC), a British training and simulation firm.
NSC, which QinetiQ purchased on 3 February for GBP14 million (USD18 million), focuses on land and joint training, according to QinetiQ.
“Training is a growing area both in the UK and internationally, and working with NSC will enhance our capability in areas such as modelling and simulation, synthetic environments, and operational analysis,” said James Willis, managing director of QinetiQ’s Cyber, Information & Training (CIT) business.
NSC said that becoming part of a larger company will enable it “to pursue larger contracts and take larger roles within them”.
