US industrial conglomerate Curtiss-Wright has named longtime employee Lynn Bamford to the newly created, high-level position of president of the Defense and Power Segments, according to a 22 January announcement.
Bamford joined Curtiss-Wright in 2004 and most recently was senior vice-president and general manager of its Defense Solutions division. In her new role, Bamford will report directly to David Adams, Curtiss-Wright's chair and CEO.
The Defense Segment makes a wide range of devices, including cockpit voice and flight data recorders, mission computers, and radar processing and recording systems. It had sales of USD149.9 million in the third quarter of 2019, and recently acquired US Navy supplier 901D Holdings for USD132 million.
