Ansti Test Systems, a British company that makes test facilities for underwater breathing equipment, has been acquired by JFD, part of UK-based industrial conglomerate James Fisher and Sons.
Ansti, whose products measure the performance of breathing apparatus and display that information in real time during tests, will complement JFD's existing portfolio, which includes diving equipment, submarine rescue systems, and other underwater gear, JFD wrote in a 16 January news release.
The "deal forms part of JFD's long-term strategy to protect and preserve life in the harshest underwater environments," JFD said.
Ansti's global client base spans more than 60 organisations in the defence and commercial sectors.
