Naviris, the joint venture (JV) that Italy's Fincantieri and France's Naval Group recently created to co-operate on naval projects, is now "fully operational" and can begin its work, according to a 14 January news release.
Key personnel appointments have been made, and Naviris's board of directors has begun meeting. Fincantieri CEO Giuseppe Bono has been appointed board chair, and Naval Group CEO Hervé Guillou has been named a board member.
Claude Centofanti and Enrico Bonetti will run the JV as CEO and chief operational officer, respectively. Centofanti was previously deputy finance director at Naval Group, while Bonetti was senior vice-president for international activities in Fincantieri's naval vessels business unit.
