The head of Park Aerospace said on 9 January that his small US-based company has begun working on a 'secret' Lockheed Martin development programme.
"I don't think we'll ever be able to tell you anything about that other than it's a secret development programme," Brian Shore, Park's chairperson and CEO, told analysts during a 9 January conference call on his company's financial results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2020.
Park, which is based in Newton, Kansas, makes advanced composite materials for aerospace structures. It has about 135 employees.
Shore also revealed that Park was recently tapped to work for both a new hypersonics programme and a "major private space company".
