Moog partners Escribano on Australian projects

06 January 2020

The Australian subsidiary of United States-based Moog Inc has partnered with Spanish defence manufacturing company Escribano Mechanical and Engineering to collaborate on defence projects for Australian and Asia-Pacific markets.

Moog said in a recent statement that its wholly owned Australian firm, Moog Australia, which is based in Melbourne, has signed a “strategic agreement” with Madrid-headquartered Escribano to provide “enhanced defence offerings” in the region.

It said the partnership aligns Moog’s capabilities in “precision motion control for defence applications with Escribano’s integration capabilities for remote weapon systems, electro-optical tracking and sighting systems”.

Moog added that the two companies will develop “sovereign capabilities” within Australia for domestic and regional export markets to meet Australian government requirements to develop local defence industrial capabilities and boost international defence sales.
