Montenegro will receive 30 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract announced by the US Department of Defense (DoD) and Oshkosh Defense on their websites on 17 and 18 December, respectively.

The DoD announcement came a day after Elbit Systems announced that the Israeli and Montenegrin ministries of defence (MoDs) had signed a USD35 million contract to supply the Armed Forces of Montenegro with remote controlled weapon stations (RCWS) for its JLTVs. Under the contract, Elbit will integrate the RCWS into the JLTVs over a three-year period and provide logistic support for seven years.
