MW Industries (MWI), a Chicago area-based firm that makes heavy-duty springs for military ground vehicles, is getting a new leader.
The company announced in late November that Simon Newman will become its CEO on 6 January, replacing interim CEO Don Doctor, who will remain on the board of directors. Newman was previously CEO at Form Technologies, a casting and molding firm headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“Doctor has made significant contributions over the past five months, beginning to develop the strategy that MW Industries will execute under” Newman, MWI wrote in a news release.
In addition to being a supplier for military ground vehicles, MWI makes fasteners, springs, and other parts for a wide range of industries, including aerospace.
