Indonesian land systems specialist PT Pindad has signed an agreement to explore export opportunities with the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in Ghana, the company has said.
PT Pindad said the letter of intent (LOI) supports defence sales, technology transfers, co-development, and after-sales support including training and the establishment of facilities in the West African nation.
PT Pindad said in a press release that Ghana "is very interested in the [company's] defence and industrial products". It added that the MoD has outlined a "commitment" to procure PT Pindad's products and to collaborate on joint development projects.
According to PT Pindad, the Ghana MoD is interested in procuring items including firearms, tactical military vehicles and amphibious vehicles.
