Polish Armaments Group (Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa – PGZ) has welcomed the 25 November announcement that Poland will return its MiG-29 Fulcrum fighters to service.
“For the aviation domain companies of the Polish Armaments Group, it is primarily an opportunity to continue service contracts for this type of aircraft, which are still the main segment of activity,” Sebastian Chwałek, vice president of the board of the Polish Armaments Group, said in a statement on 26 November.
The Polish Air Force MiG-29 fleet was grounded on 4 March after an aircraft from the 23rd Tactical Air Base crashed close to the village of Drgicz.
