US-based TransDigm Group said on 19 November that its net sales jumped 46.9% to USD1.5 billion in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2019 due to growth in existing operations and its March acquisition of fellow aircraft parts maker Esterline Technologies.
TransDigm's net income surged 37.2% to USD316 million in the fourth quarter compared with the same period a year earlier.
For the full year, TransDigm's net sales rose 37.1% to USD5.2 billion. Its net income fell 12.7% to USD839 million, mainly due to acquisition-related costs.
"We are pleased with our operating results and the strength of the consolidated TransDigm business," said Kevin Stein, the company's president and chief executive officer.
