US-based Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced on 7 November that its third-quarter revenue totalled USD2.2 billion, up 6.5% from a year ago owing mainly to recent acquisitions by its Technical Solutions division and higher volume at its Newport News Shipbuilding division.
At Technical Solutions, revenue jumped 41.6% to USD347 million thanks to the division’s recent acquisition of Fulcrum IT Services and cyber-security company G2, as well as growth in fleet support and oil and gas services, HII said.
At Newport News Shipbuilding, revenue increased 7.2% to USD1.3 billion, mainly owing to higher revenue from US Navy (USN) aircraft carriers and submarines.
