Raytheon has released the first images of the Next Generation Jammer Mid-Band (NGJ-MB) pod it has developed for the Boeing EA-18G Growler electronic attack (EA) aircraft.

The two images show the high-capacity and high-power airborne electronic attack weapon system fitted to the centre underwing station of a United State's Navy (USN) Growler aircraft.

The release of the images comes some weeks after Raytheon delivered the first NGJ-MB to the USN for ground and aircraft integration testing. The pod, which is the first of 15 engineering and manufacturing development (EMD) and 14 flight-certification trial NGJ-MB systems, was delivered to the navy from Raytheon's El Segundo facility in California.
