Jane's was told at the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX) on 15 October that the offer of the two missiles is directed at the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) Light Armed Helicopter (LAH) for the Republic of Korea Army (RoKA) and for the KAI Surion Marine Attack Helicopter (MAH) for the Republic of Korea Marine Corps (RoKMC).

With both helicopters currently in varying stages of development, the Brimstone would provide a short-range low-yield precision strike capability, while the Mistral ATAM would afford a self-defence capability against hostile aircraft.
