Hensoldt announced on 7 October that it has finalised the acquisition of a majority stake in French electronics company Nexeya about six months after signing a share purchase agreement on 12 April.
The value of the deal was undisclosed.
Nexeya reported turnover of EUR95 million (USD104.2 million) in 2018. The French company employs about 620 staff at three major industrial sites (Angoulême, Massy, and Toulouse).
Nexeya designs, manufactures, tests, and maintains complex electronic systems for the aerospace, defence, energy, and transportation sectors. As Nexeya designs mission systems for military aircraft, the acquisition complements Hensoldt’s work in developing identification, friend-or-foe (IFF) systems, and datalinks.
