Rheinmetall focuses on new plant in Czech Republic

03 October 2019

Rheinmetall AG, mother company of Rheinmetall Defence and Rheinmetall Automotive, has started recruiting in the Czech Republic. The activity is closely connected with the Czech Land Forces' procurement of new infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) under a programme for which Rheinmetall Defence is bidding its Lynx KF41 IFV. The company has said it will establish a new production line in the country should it win the contract.

This sets Rheinmetall apart from other companies bidding for the programme - BAE Systems Hägglunds, General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS), and PSM - which have said they would employ existing companies and lines in the country.
