US Air Force awards MicroTechnologies LLC Combined Air Operations Center contract

The US Air Force (USAF) on 20 September awarded MicroTechnologies LLC a USD160 million contract for Combined Air Operations Center (CAOC) communication services, according to a Pentagon statement.

The contract, a firm-fixed-price arrangement, provides operations and maintenance of all Air Operations Center (AOC) communication systems around the clock, every day of the year. This work will be performed in the USAF's Central Command area of responsibility (AOR) and runs through 2 September 2024. The USAF's Central Command AOR is a 20-nation region stretching from northeast Africa across the Middle East to Central and South Asia.

This award was the result of a competitive acquisition and six offers were received. The USAF did not return a request for comment prior to publication, and MicroTechnologies LLC declined to comment.
