South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has launched an online portal to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) gain access to government-run defence testing facilities.
DAPA said the portal - launched on 20 September - is intended to better co-ordinate private-sector defence research and development (R&D) activity and to prevent "overlapping investment". It added that the information available through the portal will enable the private sector to better manage trials of military technologies at more than 400 designated facilities across the country.
These facilities are operated by government agencies such as DAPA, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Ministry of Science and Information and Communications Technology.
