Chess Dynamics, a member of the Cohort Group, unveilled at the DSEI 2019 exhibition in London an intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) system with counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) capabilities based on an ISO container.
The technology is built around the company's Hawkeye product portfolio; it carries a long-range radar, as well as a high-definition thermal and optical imaging suite that are installed on a mast. The mast can then be installed on a vehicle or ISO container, with the latter configuration shown at DSEI.
David Eldridge, sales director at Chess Dynamics, said, "The containerised solution has been designed to improve survivability of forces, critical installations, and assets, while offering the flexibility to tactically deploy capabilities in areas that may have been harder to maintain due to the need to station manpower in remote locations."
