Serbian Air Force and Air Defence (RV i PVO) servicemen have been training at the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) anti-aircraft missile forces training centre in Gatchina, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) announced on its website on 11 September.
MoD newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda (Red Star) reported the same day that the RV i PVO crews received detailed presentations and simulator training on Pantsir-S1 and S-400 Triumf air defence systems. The report was illustrated by a photo of Serbians in front of 51P6E transporter-erector-launcher (TAL).
The MoD added that the same personnel also participated in the first joint Russian-Serbian air defence exercise ‘Slavic Shield – 2019’ beginning on 11 September on the Ashuluk training ground in the Astrakhan region.
