Israel's Controp Precision Technologies is to demonstrate its latest sensor payload offering, which is designed to enable ground units equipped with tactical-level unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to organically fix, track, target, and engage adversaries without depending on additional fixed-wing or larger UAS platforms.
The company's new STAMP-VMD miniaturised persistent surveillance payload is the latest entry in the company's family of electro-optical and infrared capable intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) sensor packages for tactical UAS.
Specifically designed for employment on Class I UAS, the VMD sensor payload is designed to carry out "covert flight" ISR operations between 1,500 and 3,000 ft, company officials said.
