Lockheed Martin deploys new Cyber Resiliency programme

06 September 2019

Programme developers at Lockheed Martin have released a new cyber resiliency framework that company officials say will enable the US armed forces and militaries across the globe to measure a weapon systems' viability to counter cyber threats.

The Cyber Resiliency Level (CRL) model and framework will leverage existing risk management frameworks across six specific categories to quantify a given weapon system's level of vulnerability to cyber intrusions or attack, so commanders can identify and mitigate those risks quickly.

"It is the first model I've seen that's directly focused on the cyber resiliency of defence systems of missions," said Jim Keffer, director of Cyber at Lockheed Martin Government Affairs and former chief of staff for US Cyber Command.
