Controp Precision Technologies announced on 28 August that it is marketing a T-STAMP-XD gyrostabilised, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) payload developed for integration on small unmanned aircraft systems (SUASs), aerostats, and rotary-wing platforms.
The T-STAMP-XD builds upon the company’s earlier T-STAMP-XR that was launched in 2017 and designed for intelligence, surveillance, targeting, and reconnaissance. The T-STAMP-XD adds a laser designator to the sensor configuration to enable target-designation capability.
Company literature states that the T-STAMP-XD includes a medium-wave infrared (MWIR) thermal imager with a 640×512 format focal plane array (FPA) sensitive from 3µm to 5µm. The thermal imager has a ×15 continuous optical zoom lens with a 30° to 2° field of view (FOV) and ×3 digital zoom.
