The company said the mortar is designed to be lightweight, quick to operate, and ergonomic and can be converted manually without tools within 30 seconds from a 15.8 kg standard infantry version into a commando mortar weighing 6.8 kg by removing the carbon fibre composite baseplate.

The maximum range of the infantry version is 3,200 m, depending on ammunition and charges, and the commando mortar has a range of up to 2,000 m, according to Rheinmetall.
