The US Army is seeking technologies to bolster Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) performance and reduce its life-cycle cost.
In a request for information posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website, the service is asking industry to propose a host of “new and emerging technologies” for the AMPV that would shore up the vehicle’s mobility, lethality, survivability, logistics, and C4ISR.
“The objective is to find new technologies to improve performance of the current family of AMPV vehicles and find ways to reduce life cycle cost,” the service wrote. “The topics of interest may include, but are not limited to, Remote Weapon Station (RWS), Improvements to Mobility and Increased Lethality, 360-degree Situational Awareness (SA), and enhancements to C4ISR performance of the AMPV family of vehicles.”
