The Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has announced a one-year trade ban on Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus.
The MoD said in a notice published on 15 June that the suspension follows the issuance of a First Information Report (FIR) by India's Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as part of an inquiry into alleged misconduct in defence procurement activity.
The MoD said other investigations into Pilatus are also being carried out by Ministry of Finance's Directorate of Enforcement and Income Tax Department.
In its notice the MoD indicated that the one-year trade ban followed an earlier trade suspension but did not elaborate.
