Safran will establish a new aircraft carbon brake facility in Feyzin near Leon, expanding the footprint of the landing systems business line that provides parts for several military and commercial aircraft.
Safran Landing Systems has about 18 facilities globally, and the company believes that this opening will strengthen the business line’s presence further.
The announcement was made by Philippe Petitcolin, CEO of Safran, during a ceremony held on 8 July that was attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and Ross McInnes, chairman of the board of directors of Safran.
