Increased demand for its small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and Switchblade tactical missile system helped AeroVironment to post sales of USD314.3 million for its 2019 fiscal year, the US company announced on 25 June.
President and CEO Wahid Nawabi added that the company is "poised to build on our momentum in Fiscal Year 2020 and beyond".
Year-on-year revenue growth of 17% drove a 19% increase in gross profits to USD128.4 million, and net profits more than doubled from USD17.9 million in 2018 to USD47.4 million.
