Lockheed Martin is chasing strong potential business for its fighter offerings in Europe as well as opportunities in Canada and India, according to Michelle Evans, executive vice president for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics.
Speaking to Jane’s at the Paris Air Show on 18 June, Evans said, “There’s a lot of focus in Europe. I’ll start with F-35: we were selected in Belgium and I think you saw recently Poland’s desire for F-35” [Belgium ordered 34 F-35As last October, while Poland formally requested the F-35A last month], and then we’re competing in Finland, Switzerland, and Canada, so we’re seeing strong market demand for F-35.
