FEINDEF 2019: Cerberus RWS development nears completion

The Cerberus remote weapon station (RWS) is in its final months of development and will be ready by September 2019, the consortium working on it has told Jane’s.

The nearly-complete prototype of the RWS mounted on an M113 armoured personnel carrier is on display at the International Defence and Security Exhibition (FEINDEF), being held in Madrid from 29 to 31 May.

The Cerberus RWS operates an automatic 30 or 40 mm medium-calibre gun and will be fitted with a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun and retractable anti-tank missile launcher. The dual vision system has one panoramic and one combat system, with interchangeable functions.
