Saab views Purdue T-X facility as stepping stone to other defence opportunities

Saab AB sees its new advanced manufacturing and production facility at Purdue University in Indiana as an opportunity to expand to products beyond Boeing’s new US Air Force (USAF) advanced jet trainer the company is working on.

Saab said the initial focus of the new site, which received a USD37 million investment, would be aeronautical engineering and producing major structural sections and final assembly of parts it is procuring for the T-X.
