French defence and civil aerospace manufacturer Dassault intends to sell the 96.85% stake it holds in Belgian aircraft maintenance and aerostructure production company Société Anonyme Belge de Constructions Aéronautiques (SABCA).
The news was announced at SABCA’s annual board of directors’ meeting on 10 April.
SABCA CEO Thibauld Jongen said, “The decision made by Dassault Group – which was the majority shareholder for more than 50 years – is part of a more global strategy, specific to the group, which also acknowledges the fact that we have made significant progress in recent years to make SABCA robust, profitable, and competitive again.”
