Damen Shipyards has outlined an intention to expand co-operation with counterparts in the Philippines as part of an effort to meet expanding naval and commercial shipbuilding requirements in the Southeast Asian country.
A company spokesperson told Jane’s on 13 March that Damen officials have recently visited the Philippines, with a view to deepening collaboration with local companies.

Earlier this year HHIC-Philippines disclosed that it owed state-run lenders more than USD400 million and in January filed for voluntary rehabilitation in a regional court.
