SRC Aus, the Australian subsidiary of US-headquartered SRC Inc (formerly Syracuse Research Corporation), has inaugurated a new office in Adelaide, South Australia.
The facility – opened by Australian Defence Minister Christopher Pyne on 14 March – is the second the company has opened in Australia in the past 18 months after an office specialising in electronic warfare (EW) solutions was opened in Canberra in September 2017.
In opening its new office, Pyne said the company is investing more than AUD12 million (USD8.5 million) in developing a new EW payload – named ‘Lyrebird’ in Australia and ‘Mockingbird’ in the US – for next-generation training applications.
