The Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) has submitted a request to carry out a series of reorganisation efforts for its navy (Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Laut: TNI-AL).
The request has been submitted by the TNI to the country’s Ministry of Defence, and the office of the country’s President, Joko Widodo, for his formal ascension.
Among changes that have been proposed include the establishment of a unified naval command, which will be known as the Komando Armada Republik Indonesia (KOARMADA RI).
