The secure transmission of data and protection against hackers is paramount at sites such as company headquarters, data centres and small offices. Swiss company Crypto International (Stand 08-B13) is promoting a number of encryption units from its IP VPN family, which, it says, ensure that information travels securely between locations.
The HC-7825-200 IP VPN provides encryption for IP traffic of up to 100Mbit/s. Its full redundant, hot-pluggable power supply is designed to ensure highest availability of the encryption unit. The tamperproof unit comes with a built-in security module programmed with the customer's specific algorithm. It is suitable for data, voice and video transport via unicast or multicast IP VPN tunnels. The encryption unit offers full data integrity and minimal latency.
For small offices and deployable infrastructure, the company offers the HC-7805-200 (below), a compact desktop unit with transmission rates of up to 50Mbit/s. The passive cooling of the device, with a fully enclosed housing, allows for silent, fanless operation.
Crypto also produces a high-performance network security unit, to protect the mass of information generated through realtime collaboration between different locations or extensive video surveillance from attack. The HC-8682 LINK OTN (100G) (above) operates at line rate with 100 per cent performance and minimal latency. It is easy to install and is configured with a plug-and-play style. Regardless of the information classification, the highest protection of data is provided with a customer-specific algorithm (HCA-820) and a tamper-proof security module.
The 100-year-old company is active in more than 100 countries worldwide. It is working on a new platform that will provide all relevant data to operate the infrastructure, as well as monitor suspicious events and combat cyber-attacks. It is also planning to bundle its technology with consultancy services and training.
