Abu Dhabi-based boat builder and manufacturer of unmanned surface vessels, Al Seer Marine (Stands B-011/B-012) has introduced a training programme for Emirati engineering graduates, developed to foster local talent and boost its nationalisation efforts in the local marine and defence sectors.
The focus of the initiative, which launched in January, is on the upskilling of UAE nationals with a long-term view, particularly those wanting to pursue a career in the marine robotics industry. Robotics, networking, communications and autonomy will be cornerstones of the programme, enabling engineers to augment their existing knowledge base with real-world applications.
Seven Emirati engineers, including five women (pictured), have already been earmarked for the programme.
“Our aim at Al Seer Marine is to nurture the brightest Emirati minds with the drive, commitment and determination to succeed in the future,” said Alia Salem Al Shamisi, network engineer.
