Thales and Canadian company Centech have formed a strategic partnership dubbed AI@Centech to support start-ups developing artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
These companies will benefit from Thales’ technology experience and business know- how, which will be applied to the concepts and prototypes developed by the start-ups, moving the technology towards the next level of maturity.
Centech was created by the École de Technologie Supérieure in Montreal and is Québec’s largest start-up incubator, Thales said.
There is a focus on the development of expertise in Canada within this initiative, building on Thales’ establishment of CortAIx, a Montreal-based centre of research and technology in AI.
