Airbus Helicopters signs agreement for industrial transfer to Hungary

18 December 2018

Airbus Helicopters and the government of Hungary have signed a memorandum of understanding through which industrial capabilities will be transferred to the country.

The industrial co-operation will focus on the production of high-precision mechanical parts, initially for dynamic systems for rotorcraft. An integrated Airbus plant will be established and will utilise the local supply chain to carry out other functions such as surface treatment of parts.

The agreement follows a 14 December order from the Hungarian Ministry of Defence for 16 H225M rotorcraft equipped with the HForce weapon management system, as well as an order for 20 H145Ms with HForce that was placed in June.
