Blighter Surveillance Systems has appointed S-Connect as its South Korean partner for the manufacture of electronically-scanned (e-scan) radars in country.
Following a period of training in both the UK and South Korea, the company is now qualified to build, test, support, and maintain the e-scan radars in country at a new dedicated facility that has been established in Jeongok, southwest of Seoul.
The Republic of Korea Army is an operator of Blighter's radars, operating some 100 units in the demilitarised zone (DMZ) on the Korean peninsula.
"Blighter e-scan radars are recognised as best-in-class in Korea because of their successful deployment along the DMZ," ByungSub Sim, director of S-Connect, said.
