Norwegian defence group Kongsberg has expanded its presence in Australia with the opening of a new office in Canberra, the company has announced.
The new facility, opened in late November, will support the company's business development efforts in the country. The investment also increases Kongsberg's in-country workforce to more than 50. Kongsberg also has an office in Perth, Western Australia.
The opening of the new office came a few weeks after the company announced that its Kongsberg Digital subsidiary was selected by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) to deliver and support a suite of ship's bridge simulators.
