The first batch of Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-35 multirole combat aircraft (MCA) will soon be delivered to the Russian military, Ilya Tarasenko, Director General of United Aircraft Corporation subsidiary Russian Aircraft Corporation (RSK MiG), said at the RSK MiG production plant in Lukhovitsy on 28 November.
As previously reported by Jane’s, RSK MiG announced that it had signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defence (MOD) during the Army 2018 exhibition, for the delivery of a first batch of six MiG-35s.
“In August, we signed this contract with the Ministry of Defence. The fighters are being built, and the first batch will be delivered to the customer at an early date,” said Tarasenko.
