Satellite imagery from Airbus Defence and Space taken on 11 November shows two Chinese nuclear ballistic missile submarines (SSBNs) at the Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Company (BSHIC) in the northern port city of Huludao. Further to that, a sequence of images taken over a number of days and accessible on the Planet Labs website shows that one of these boats was launched on 31 October and subsequently moved to a jetty, where it is assessed that setting-to-work will be undertaken.
